Is there a way to turn andronium off once running? In the notification bar it only gives the option to open it, not to turn it off, and when I exit from andronium to the phone interface it's still running. If this isn't an option I'd like it to be.
Nice work guys

Nice work guys Hi Andrew! Andromium can be turned off wenn you press "Shut Down" in the menu at the bottom left. You can also completely shut it down with going into the settings App then press Apps -> Andromium and then "Force to shut down" or what ever is mentioned there. @gordon it would be nice if you name the "shut down" button "shut down Andromium" because many people think that it means to shut down the phone.

Shut down brings me back to the phone interface but androidium is still an active process. Going all the way through settings, into apps, into running apps, and force closing 4 or more processes under androidium is very very annoying. I'd like 1 button to kill the process built into either the menu on the androidium desktop or into the process icon on the notification drawer. Either place would be fine.

Hi guys, unfortunately Andromium is not designed to be shutdown completely, because it has many background process that manage the internal memory, process lifecycle and and other OS level events, even when the Andromium Desktop is not currently running. If we allow our users to completely shutdown, we won't be able to properly startup Andromium OS again until user restarts the phone, which is not very desirable behavior. Unfortunately the persistent notification is a security restriction on android. By design Android doesn't allow any background processes to stay running permanently unless user is aware that the process is always running. If we remove the persistent notification from the notification bar, the host Android OS will randomly shutdown Andromium OS, which again could prevent Andromium OS from running correctly again until the phone restarts.

Hi,
To clarify I don't mind the icon in the notification drawer when I want to run androidium, I simply want to be able to turn it off completely when I won't be using it. I know you guys are designing it to run all the time so it turns on automatically when the person docks the phone but I'd much rather run it only when I want to use it. If it's possible to put in that button to kill the app totally I'd love that option. Thanks.

And I would just like to mention, I suggested this app to a few people, the ones that know how Android works force stopped it when they weren't using it, and just clicked the Andromium icon in their apps list to open the app when they wanted to run it. The people that didn't know how to force stop it just uninstalled the app.... I want to see Andromium become a success, but one thing that many users want, is to force stop the app, and instead use manual launch to open the app. You are going to need settings in the app, to enable people to choose whether to keep the service running or not.
