Hi Kahun, Stevetheman, I just open a bug forum for users report any bugs they encounter, please provide some additional information on the thread I created specifically for the bug both you encountered. Thank you.
Hi Smileronline, we planned to provide a way to manually launch Andromium without all the required connections, as part of our "Tablet Mode" functionality. It should allow phones to run Andromium OS without the power plugged in as well. However in our internally testing, running Andromium OS without external power (especially when using Chromecast) eat up battery very fast, we were able to go from 100% charged to empty on a Note 4 in 2 hours (watching videos on youtube). So that is why for now we required power to be plugged in.

Ofcourse it is bad that you can only use it for a short time but that is the problem of the user who can't buy bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard.

Connect to Chromecast to start Andriomium OS, then just turn off the Chromecast and your tablet will still have Andriomium open, and I think it will stay open even when not charging (not sure about that one)

So that is why for now we required power to be plugged in. I take your point, but I believe that the user would like the choice to run Andromium without the need for external power, and then if they find that they personally experience rapid battery loss as a result then they have the choice to buy accessories which enable them to charge whilst connected to a KB/M and Chromecast. I think that enabling the option for the user will help to rapidly increase your user base, and as more users experience this technology, there will be a higher demand for hardware manufacturers to build the tools to enable their users to use this kind of software. Thank you for your response and good luck with this project. Once I can get this product running on my devices, I would be happy to provide feedback and report any bugs that I find to help you grow this product into something that (hopefully) will help to reduce the need for the desktop tower in everyones daily computing needs. Thank you to you and your team for developing this technology. I have been saying that there is a need for something like this ever since I first used an Android device, now that you have put this together I can finally see that we are one step closer to the evolution that computing needs!.

Thanks for releasing Andromium Beta yesterday, I LOVE the manual launch feature mostly because i've been anxious to see the OS in action :_). I am still waiting for my MHL order to arrive but I did cast it to my TV thanks to manual launch! :_). Here are a few things I experienced.
1. The browser didn't work in that I was able to type in a URL and press the enter key but it would not display the page, i'm not sure if this had anything to do with the fact that i was using my device's keyboard without a mouse?
2. The OS seemed to overlap my screen is there an option to adjust the resolution?
3. I have purchased a two in one keyboard/trackball combination(also waiting for it to arrive in the mail), will this configuration be supported? It seems most fitting for me since I will be using my TV as my monitor will sitting on my recliner (no desktop space to work a mouse)
4. Is there a section on this forum designated for reporting bugs/experience?
5...You guys are AWESOME keep up the good work, I will gladly pay money for this OS.

This is currently being fixed, the way around it is to change the windows size of the browser then put it full screen again. 2. Not currently, hopefully it will be out in next update as I requested that too 3. Double check with Gordon but I don't see why it shouldn't as it's actually android that handles the drivers etc. 4. Yes, you will see it on the index of the forum.

Hi Kahun, sorry we been busy at the MWC, at lot of exciting things happening, but unfortunately didn't have the time to pull away to do some posting yet, check out the other post about our partnership with MHL to see some of the latest exciting developments.

@andromium team: You can tell me to mind my own business but, out of curiosity, could you update us on future plans on how you would like to generate revenue from this project ie: selling hardware(docks/devices), or selling the app. I only ask as I would like to continue to provide feedback/make requests, but of course only if that feedback would be useful to you. Obviously, if you plan to make money from the hardware and not the software, then it would be pointless for us users to talk about Chromecast/Mirrorcast support, or to make suggestions on how to better utilize those wireless solutions. I hope to continue providing feedback or sharing thoughts on what I would like to get from this experience as a potential future customer. PS: As Root permission is now looking more likely to be a future option for the Andromium project, it may be worth looking at the 'ARM seamless computing' projects findings again to work out if there is anything that you would like to replicate from that project in Andromium. Anyway, thanks again guys, great project, keep up the good work!

Hi Smiler, business strategies and future monetization is a little bit too sensitive to share on the open forum, but at a 10000 feet level, I can tell you that we have multiple possible different approach to monetize, and currently we are focusing on growing user bases, so we are giving away the OS for free to both users, and commercial partners. Long term, we don't plan to charge hardware partners or users for the OS, but instead work toward a third party pay model. We can talk further in private message if you are really curious. And you are definitely right about the 'ARM seamless computing' project, we are exploring that right now.

Is a q-charger enough to sustain battery life in a phone? Also when you say 2 hours on the note 2 was that with the phones screen on or off?

Hi Wizmerlin, q-charger/fast charger should be enough to sustain the battery life. 2 hour estimate is with the screen off, but running multiple apps at the same time, including streaming online hd video and mirroring the screen through Chromecast.
