HI, Disclaimer: Android and tablets noob here. I gave my daughter a tablet as a Christmas gift. One of these days she decided to password lock it. A password which she promptly forgot"Hey, no problem dear, I'll just reset it through your Google account" or so I thought...As far as I can see, it is possible to replace your patern lock through the associated Google account but there's nothing one can do if the lock is a password! With Android 4 and older (afaik) there was a way to unlock the device after 5 wrong passwords, with a "forgot password" option that let you use your account credentials but in the newer versions that was removed (this tablet has version 5.0).Surely there must be a way, right? Why does Google let you unlock the patern lock but not the password?I know I can do a factory reset but I wanted to avoid it to save all the pics shes's been shooting. Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1305803Industrial Valve VideoThank you.
