Hi PJ, yes currently we allow user to use their default wallpaper. Originally we have a configurable setting that allow user to change the wallpaper when launching Andromium OS. But due to memory usage issues, we pull that setting from the original Andromium OS beta launch, and kept user at the default Andromium wallpaper. Since then we change the default to user's default wallpaper so that the user will have choices. We intent to reintroduce the configuration wallpaper selection setting down the road. But currently no ETA.
Best,
-Gordon

Hi Orion116, currently Andromium OS does have a simple Text/Photo viewer. We are currently hard at work to create a third party developer SDK. Once the SDK is ready and publicly release, we hoping other developer will come in and create some more feature rich native documents viewers and editors.
Best,

I don't know if this is there yet or if you are not focused on it at the moment. But it would be really cool if you could have IDEs, downloadable from the internet, so anyone could program anywhere.

Hi James: Multiple desktop support is a feature we looking into, but currently a low priority, we focusing most of our attention on finishing the SDK right now.
Hi AB: There is an android IDE we like on the Playstore call AIDE, that works pretty well with Andromium OS, we tried it in the past, and like the functionalities. You will need to made some modification in the setting to adjust fonts sizes and few other things, but once it is setup, it is very useful IDE for android development.

There is a xposed framework (root ) which allows to change apps scalling, which is useful when connected to external monitor. You could use the same idea to scal all apps while running Andromium.
Also scalled android apps ( portret mode ) could be runned in window-like processed ( already seen something like that on some cheap android pc stick)
If u could solve those 2 problems with scalling and running android apps in windows, nof only fullscreen, it would be quite usefull.

Hi Jonny, thank you for your suggestion. We played with the Xpose Framework scaling addon module in the past as well, but like you mentioned, it required Root access, so that is why we haven't taken a similar approach. We still searching for other ways to achieve UI scaling for standard Android apps without Root access, but so far, haven't had any luck yet.
Best,

Hi GR, unfortunately Andromium OS is design to be use with physical keyboard and mouse. Especially now are are close to releasing the Superbook laptop dock. We will keep your request in mind, and go through our features/enhancements list after the release of the Superbook.

Have you had a look at Remix OS? Could "borrow" some ideas from them. We definitely have look into Remix OS, and does like some of their UI design. But at the same time, we want to have our own unique UI/UX experience. So long term we might seem a few similar functionalities with Remix, but overall we will continue to focus on creating our own unique user experience. -Gordon

Hi,
Just tried the app. A few suggestions while they're fresh in mind. Apologies if they've been mentioned before.
- Floating apps - Open links in new windows - When you close an app via the X, you don't see it in the taskbar any more - Access to notifications with mouse - When Andronium is launched, it automatically goes to portrait rather than detecting orientation
Good work!

Hi Lupin, thank you for suggestions, we will keep those in our future enhancement list. Also, couple things.
1) The close app via X and remove from task bar should work, but we have been getting some report of few devices where that is not working. Can you let us know what device and what Android version you are using. It will help us track down the source of this bug. 2) A custom notification draw is coming, along with major UI revamps (as part of the Superbook Kickstarter campaign). Stay tune. 3) Currently Andromium Desktop is always going to be Landscape. Are you not seeing the app in landscape mode? Or is this referring to the Andromium Setting app?
Thank you for your feedback and encouragement
-Gordon
