Good afternoon. In my lg g2, closing apps with X does not remove them from task bar. Another "odd" thing is about icons in task bar: they are shown with some gray lines crossing them. I believe it's intentional, but it's not obvious and just make icons ugly. Please consider the option of make windowed apps automatically if phone is rooted. Thanks for the work! Regards,

Hi Viriato, you are correct the gray icon overlay is intentional, to show that the app can only run in fullscreen. But we are going to change the icon something more recognizable in future version.
As for the 'X' Icon not closing the app, we getting the report from some other users as well, but most user's doesn't seem to have that problem, can you tell me what version of Android the LG G2 is running? Also it is the stock rom or a custom rom?
Thank you for your help and suggestion.

Hi Viriato thank you for the info. A follow-up question, have you always had this issue since you first start using Andromium? Or it is something that only start happening in recently? Either due to a Android OS update or Andromium app update?
Thank you again for helping and providing the information so we can find the cause and a fix for the issue.

Can't remember exactly, but I believe I've used it properly before. So it was eventually after an update... Thanks!

Hello there once again. I am mailing to report that clicking on the X to close app works again in my LG G2. Is there any chance of Superbook being sent to backers before the end of the year? Regards,

My appologies for another update, but figured out that only some apps close when clicking the X. As example, one of the apps that do not close and keeps "minimized" in the inferior bar is Google Chrome. Another one is Blowtorch (a MUD client). The others I use to use behave properly. Regards,

Hi Viriato, we still working on the click 'X' to close the app issue. We have made some headway into find the cause (it has to do with a memory management functionality that Android phone manufacturing is changing, that is different then standard AOSP Android), but still working on a solution. Keep in mind that the X button is only a suggestion to the app to 'shutdown', and each app can decide how they can 'shutdown' (or not shutdown) in certain apps such as the Blowtorch case. Unfortunately this is an issue with the app itself, we have been looking into a more forcibly way to shutdown an Android app, but doing so without potentially causing data lost (such as forcibly killing an email/text edit app) remain a problem.
As for the Superbook shipment date, we are on track for Jan/Feb for our KS backers, but shipping early is unlikely at this point.
Best,

I use simple microsoft desktop apps like calculator often.
I also use MS Paint and MS snipping tool. Will this be included as Andromium standard app?

Hi Rio, we don't plan to make those app our self, but we are working with third party developers to bring similar functionality apps to Andromium OS
