Hi Maor, you should be able to use the LG G3 to test the Andromium OS beta currently on the Playstore (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andromium.os). if you encounter any bugs please post them to the bug forum.
Thank you for your support
Best,
-Gordon

I'm really disappointed because I have an iphone and I was really wanting this, it's a great idea and I think if it's expanded to iPhones sales would skyrocket. I could have misread this but just a suggestion

Hi Interested, unfortunately for us the issue with iPhone is a political limitation, not a technology limitation. Apple have traditionally been very restrictive in what type of apps are allowed into their apps store. Based on previous discussion with Apple's app approval team, we don't believe that there is anyway Apple would allow us to ever publish Andromium OS in the iOS app store.

Hey Guys, Haven't popped on the forum in quite a long time. Got a new phone Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, I'm happy to do testing if the device will be supported.

Hi Kahun, welcome back. Can you give me some spec on the device, not too familiar with the Mi Note line of phones. In theory if it runs Android 5.0, with at-least 1gb of ram, it should be able to run Andromium OS via Chromecast. As for the Andromium Dock, we are currently still evaluating commercial launch options, so won't be abele to send out a unit for test.
Best,
-Gordon

Wow, really nice spec. I can't think of any reason why the phone won't be able to run Andromium OS. Unless Xiaomi MIUI 6 rom differs from the stock 5.02 significantly, which I don't think it does.

Yes it is a beast spec indeed. I know that Xiaomi has heavily modified it. Andromium launches but I'm not able to double click to launch any apps and the task bar is missing. See screenshot below.

Hmm this is distressing. Unfortunately we currently don't have any Xiaomi device on hand to test. We are based out of the US, so getting our hand on a Xiaomi headset is not easy. Try restarting the phone after installing Andromium OS to see if that fixes either of the issues. the Miui framework could have altered/changed AOSP API that break Andromium OS functionalities, but I am hoping it is a installation problem vs an actual modification of the AOSP framework issue. Please report back and let me know if uninstall/reinstall/restart the phone, made any difference. Thank you for your help and effort in testing Kahun. Best, -Gordon

Best, -Gordon Yes it's not easy to get one I'm in UK and I had to order one online. I know that MIUI is very heavily modified version of android, as Xposed doesn't work on MIUI because of the firmware. I will try your suggestions and let you know how I get on. I'm happy to use my device for testing, I can provide bug reports etc.

Keep reporting in Kahun. I hope that we can find a work around. Breaking AOSP functionalities/API is not cool -Gordon

Hey Gordon!
Truly awesome! I have been on my own hunt trying to figure out how to make a smart phone my personal computer for quite a while. I have primarily been focusing on
being able to put a linux type distro onto a smart phone and have that same distro on my laptop and tablet/pad device so that anything I do on any one of them is easily
transferred via file management to any of the others like a personal non-internet dock/cloud type thing. While perusing the internet, I came across your innovative concept. All I really want is to be able to seamlessly use my phone as the primary heart of the system and use it wherever I go. Bluetooth, WiFi or cable the phone with a tablet
and or a PC for a larger screen and as an external hard drive but have everything integrated together. Of course each device would be fully functional as a stand alone
device and each would have a back-up .ISO of all the others just as a word processor does automatic saves. This way if/when one device is either lost or dies, I can simply
get a new device, do the .iso image install and have the new device up and running in no time.
Thanks for actually pulling together the beginnings of what I personally want as a multi-purpose multi-use platform for computing. I hope you were able to make this
stuff proprietary so you can make some money, not too much though because if it is cheap you will sell more and make a lot more money AND I can afford to buy in! : )
GOOD WORK!
Kindest regards, Doug
