Nexus 4 Logitech bluetooth Keyboard K480 Arc mouse (don't get it its bluetooth connection is horrible) plugged to the wall I first tried Andromium and worked well. I left for diner, mouse disconnected and since I came back can't use it anymore. I restarted my cellphone, tried to unpair my devices and pair it back, force shut down Andromium and start it back, restart my phone again... it cast my phone and says Androimium is running but won't let me use it. So right now I use my phone on my TV as I would on my phone... but with my new bluetooth devices... Let me know if there's a way to fix it i'd like to test the browser... all I did was playing the desktop game... Thanks Have you tried deleting the data from Andromium? In Settings>Apps?

Thanks Hi Purplemikey, I think we might have found a bug specific to N4 and many N5, on how it report if external power is plugged in (phone is charging). A new update to Andromium OS is posted to Playstore (should be live in few hours), that allow you to manually launch Andromium through the notification bar, this is a work around for now until we isolate the problem further with N4 and N5 devices.

Thank you! I found a way to work around it... seems to work every time. I unplug my phone, reboot it and plug it only when Andromium is showing up in the notification bar.
Also It would be nice to be able to change the background and when we click on a link (lets say on facebook) it open a new tab. Don't know if right click is something possible but it could make it even easier. Thanks

This installation direction is for people who are using Andromium OS with Chromecast and bluetooth keyboard and mouse. 1) Install Andromium OS from Playstore. 2) Install Null Keyboard from Playstore. (Optional, but highly recommended) 2a) Follow Null Keyboard setup instruction, to fully setup null keyboard 3) Pair Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse with your Phone. 4) Restart your Phone. 5) Wait until the phone is fully restarted, and Andromium OS icon is show on the top notification bar 6) Double check that both keyboard and mouse is detected 7) Plug in the power cable to the phone (to ensure the phone is charging) 8) Turn on the TV/Monitor, make sure that Chromecast (or miracast) Dongle is running and connected. 9) Go into the Chromecast app (or using the notification settings on Nexus devices) to mirror the phone display to external TV. 10) At this point, Andromium Desktop should automatically launch. Switching keyboards: (Optional: every time you launch or exist Andromium OS) 1) Click on the keyboard icon on the lower right corner (should the first icon on the lower right corner) 2) Switch to Null keyboard (when starting Andromium OS) 2a) Switch back to regular keyboard (when ready to exist Andromium OS) You should be ready to go. Optional App to turn off or dim phone's display ( need root access) 1) Install Screen Standby app from Playstore. 2) Setup the app so that when screen mirroring is enable, the screen is turn off. (this is helpful to make sure phone battery is charging faster, and reduce the chance of burn-in for Samsung-AMOLED phones)

Will it only pair if it sees keyboard and mouse? At the moment it says its running but won't see it on Chromecast. I cannot test with keyboard and mouse since I didn't knew nexus 4 wasn't OTG ready and I don't have Bluetooth devices yet. Thanks. Hi purplemikey, Andromium OS will only launch if all 5 condition are met: 1) Andromium OS is running (there should be a icon on the notification bar) 2) External display detected (chromecast or HDMI) 3) Keyboard is connected (USB or bluetooth) 4) Mouse is connected (USB or bluetooth) 5) Power is connected If one of the above condition is not satisfied, then it won't launch. Best, -Gordon Actually, none of those are required for me to use it on my Acer A200 tablet.

Ya user can always launch Andromium Desktop screen manually through the notification drop down. the condition are only needed to automatically bring the user to the Andormium OS desktop screen.
Best,

Hi, tried and it works well, but the Android mirroring requirement makes the application incompatible with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 lite for example, would it be possible to include the Chromecast in the application as in google video or spotify, I do think it would not be possible due to the local source of screen but who knows with a local server included... why not?

Hi Jaycee, thank you for your feedback. It is strange that your Galaxy Tab is comparable with Chromecast only in certain apps, but not in the OS level. Unfortunately in order to use Andromium OS properly, you would need the entire phone to mirrored on the external display. Do you know why the Chromecast is limited on the Tab 3 Lite? It is an OS version issue.? -Gordon

Hi,
I have been trying Andromium OS this morning with a Note 4 using Chromecast and a usb keyboard/mouse. Everything works ok with the exception of the screen size: There is a hidden margin on the TV that does not allow to reach the icons on the corners, what it specially painful in the case of the "start" icon. Setting the screen to "extra large" in Andromium configurations partially allow to reach the icon but the screen elements are too big.
This does not happen on the device launcher, what is fully shown on the TV before launching Andromium, without any margin.
Any advice?

Hi Msesma, this is a common problem with many TV sets. This is due to a setting on the tv hidding the edge of the screen.
- Try looking for a setting in the TV menu call overscan, if you find such a setting, make sure it is off. - Alternatively on some tv the setting is name differently. It might be call zoom or picture aspect depend on the brand of the TV. -- Try changing zoom to full (or no zoom) -- Try changing picture aspect to normal or full
Let us know if that solve your problem

Is it wrong that I have used this with a licensed copy of Vysor running at a DPI that sets the screen up for 1080p? Basically it seems to do the job pretty much by using the phone in developer mode with USB debuging enabled.
