Hi Everyone
I just finished rooting my Shield TV 2015 and installing full Android 7.1 ... after that, I decided to install the Sentio N app from the play store.
I had tried several flavours of Linux through the Linux Deploy and Debian apps on the play store...but alas - too many issues with Ethernet and Wifi to make it work.
As far as Sentio N goes - it does crash once in a while if I try to do too many things at once; however, overall I am impressed! I am entering this post through Chrome on the machine in a multi window view.
So far, my only issue is the screen resolution cannot go above 1080P. I am using a Seiki 4K TV as a monitor - but I cannot get the desktop to recognize the screen resolution.
I used a DPI changer to reduce my DPI from stock 240dpi to 150dpi which does provide a more suitable text rendering size for working with apps like Chrome, Word, Excel .. etc...
I am going to give this setup a good test run to see if I can replace my desktop PC using the Shield in this way...so far so good - other than resolution...
Is there any plan to support 4K resolutions for the desktop and possible a built-in DPI / Resolution changer to support the desktop.
Thanks for the great work - this is a very interesting project....

Awesome. I was trying to install Sentio Desktop on my Xiaomi Mi Box but Android TV seems that doesn't has support for the needed permissions... I didn't even arrive to see the desktop. Sentio seems an awesome piece of software. Next android version will support desktop mode from its core. But I can't wait to have a fully working computer with only a set-top-box...
