Now that's a great update, if I can force launch it does it mean I don't even need a Chromecast? Yep for your Tab S 10.1, you shouldn't need chromecast anymore to running Andromium OS directly on the tablet's display

Hi Purplemikey, can you tell me what device/rom you running? Does it have 2GB of ram or more? Also are you running with Chromecast or dock?
1) HTML video can still be played on the browser, however you will needed it to enable it in the browser setting. it is still little bit unstable on some devices (ROM and SOC issues), so it is disable by default 2) Widget is a functionalities we still intent to support. However it is disabled for the public beta for now, to free up some memory (RAM) so lower end devices can still test Andromium OS 3) I am not sure why the X button on the full screen apps would force close Andromium OS. Couple possibilities, insufficient ram, different Android/ROM version, are the top suspects. 4) Only Andromium App can be run in window mode, we intent to release Andromium SDK and App Store in summer so the development community can help bring more Andromium Apps into the ecosystem
Keep reporting in, With more information we can fix the bugs users like yourself are encountering.

Nexus 4 Logitech bluetooth Keyboard K480 Arc mouse (don't get it its bluetooth connection is horrible) plugged to the wall I first tried Andromium and worked well. I left for diner, mouse disconnected and since I came back can't use it anymore. I restarted my cellphone, tried to unpair my devices and pair it back, force shut down Andromium and start it back, restart my phone again... it cast my phone and says Androimium is running but won't let me use it. So right now I use my phone on my TV as I would on my phone... but with my new bluetooth devices... Let me know if there's a way to fix it i'd like to test the browser... all I did was playing the desktop game... Thanks Hi Purplemikey, I think we might have found a bug specific to N4 and many N5, on how it report if external power is plugged in (phone is charging). A new update to Andromium OS is posted to Playstore (should be live in few hours), that allow you to manually launch Andromium through the notification bar, this is a work around for now until we isolate the problem further with N4 and N5 devices.

Hi Kahun, Stevetheman, I just open a bug forum for users report any bugs they encounter, please provide some additional information on the thread I created specifically for the bug both you encountered. Thank you.
Hi Smileronline, we planned to provide a way to manually launch Andromium without all the required connections, as part of our "Tablet Mode" functionality. It should allow phones to run Andromium OS without the power plugged in as well. However in our internally testing, running Andromium OS without external power (especially when using Chromecast) eat up battery very fast, we were able to go from 100% charged to empty on a Note 4 in 2 hours (watching videos on youtube). So that is why for now we required power to be plugged in.

Generally speaker, hardware docks will always have better performance then Chromecast, due to input latencies, and reduce color profile on wireless displays streaming.

I have gotten at-least 2 report on the other forum about Andromium users not able to show any content on the Andromium browser. We have not encounter this issue before in our internal testing, so we need a little bit information from our users:
1. What is the device(s) you are running Andromium OS on. 2. What is the Android OS and/or ROM version of the device 3. How you are running Andromium OS: Chromecast or HDMI connection to TV. 4. Did you restarting the phone after installing Andromium OS? 5. Have you gone into the browser setting menu, and enable HTML Video (hardware acceleration)? if not please try turning it on, restart the browser and see if that fixes the issues.
Thank you for your assistance on isolating this bug.

Hi Cipher7z, we have tested out the official dock from Samsung before, and it works fine (although only 30fps since it is MHL 1.0). If you want to find a dock for cheaper, there are a few on eBay that should work (in theory) as well (also MHL 1.0 what i can tell from the description): www.ebay.com/itm/OTG-MHL-to-HDMI-Micro-USB-Data-Sync-Charger-Dock-for-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-4-/111468073575However it is a YMMV situation, since we only tested the Samsung dock, as well as the one we designed. If you do get the eBay dock, please report back once you have a chance to test it out to let us know your experience with it.

Will it only pair if it sees keyboard and mouse? At the moment it says its running but won't see it on Chromecast. I cannot test with keyboard and mouse since I didn't knew nexus 4 wasn't OTG ready and I don't have Bluetooth devices yet. Thanks. Hi purplemikey, Andromium OS will only launch if all 5 condition are met: 1) Andromium OS is running (there should be a icon on the notification bar) 2) External display detected (chromecast or HDMI) 3) Keyboard is connected (USB or bluetooth) 4) Mouse is connected (USB or bluetooth) 5) Power is connected If one of the above condition is not satisfied, then it won't launch. Best, -Gordon
