Hi Billy, we are continue to improve Andromium OS as time goes on, we usually do 1 to 2 releases for month for bug fixes and also to introduce new functionalities. As we make changes, and introduce new functionalities, sometime new bugs will crop up, that is why Andromium OS is still in Beta.
Our goal is that by the time Superbook ships to our users, the basic Andromium OS functionality will be stable, and we can focus on adding new apps and functionality to the Andromium Ecosystem.
Best,

Hi Rob, I don't believe that is what Stefan means, I believe he just installed Andromium OS on his TF101 and run it directly on the tablet.
Best,

Hi Timo, unfortunately that is not what Andromium was design for, however if this is the functionality you are after, I think there are solutions offer by both Moto and Samsung that might fit your needs.

Hi Kahun, thank you We are super excited about the campaign momentum as well. Currently we don't have any public beta plan for the Superbook, since we are going to ship the Superbook to our KS campaign backers as they are rolling off the production line. But if the situation changes, will let you know. Best,

Hi Msesma, this is a common problem with many TV sets. This is due to a setting on the tv hidding the edge of the screen.
- Try looking for a setting in the TV menu call overscan, if you find such a setting, make sure it is off. - Alternatively on some tv the setting is name differently. It might be call zoom or picture aspect depend on the brand of the TV. -- Try changing zoom to full (or no zoom) -- Try changing picture aspect to normal or full
Let us know if that solve your problem

Hi Viriato thank you for the info. A follow-up question, have you always had this issue since you first start using Andromium? Or it is something that only start happening in recently? Either due to a Android OS update or Andromium app update?
Thank you again for helping and providing the information so we can find the cause and a fix for the issue.

Hi, tried and it works well, but the Android mirroring requirement makes the application incompatible with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 lite for example, would it be possible to include the Chromecast in the application as in google video or spotify, I do think it would not be possible due to the local source of screen but who knows with a local server included... why not? Hi Jaycee, thank you for your feedback. It is strange that your Galaxy Tab is comparable with Chromecast only in certain apps, but not in the OS level. Unfortunately in order to use Andromium OS properly, you would need the entire phone to mirrored on the external display. Do you know why the Chromecast is limited on the Tab 3 Lite? It is an OS version issue.? -Gordon

Hi Viriato, you are correct the gray icon overlay is intentional, to show that the app can only run in fullscreen. But we are going to change the icon something more recognizable in future version.
As for the 'X' Icon not closing the app, we getting the report from some other users as well, but most user's doesn't seem to have that problem, can you tell me what version of Android the LG G2 is running? Also it is the stock rom or a custom rom?
Thank you for your help and suggestion.

Hi Lupin, thank you for suggestions, we will keep those in our future enhancement list. Also, couple things.
1) The close app via X and remove from task bar should work, but we have been getting some report of few devices where that is not working. Can you let us know what device and what Android version you are using. It will help us track down the source of this bug. 2) A custom notification draw is coming, along with major UI revamps (as part of the Superbook Kickstarter campaign). Stay tune. 3) Currently Andromium Desktop is always going to be Landscape. Are you not seeing the app in landscape mode? Or is this referring to the Andromium Setting app?
Thank you for your feedback and encouragement

Hi Dcthomas, thank you for your feedback.
We are strongly considering making the Andromium OS an paid app, and provide the redeem code to our Superbook users, when they support/purchase the Superbook. So users like yourself can continue to use the Andromium OS for your desktop needs.
Best,
-Gordon

Hi Albert: Thank you for your support and offer to help debug, we will keep that in mind as we recruit more beta testers in the future. In the mean time, you can use the existing AndromiumOS app on the Playstore with your tablet. As long as you have a physical keyboard/mouse paired with your tablet, it should work for your device as well.
Hi Kareem Musa: Try setting the UI scaling on the Andromium setting app to be Large or XLarge. that should make the apps to be bigger and easier to use on very high DPI devices.

Have you had a look at Remix OS? Could "borrow" some ideas from them. We definitely have look into Remix OS, and does like some of their UI design. But at the same time, we want to have our own unique UI/UX experience. So long term we might seem a few similar functionalities with Remix, but overall we will continue to focus on creating our own unique user experience. -Gordon
