The Official dock has not been released yet as the poject didn't get enough funds from Kickstarter, and I think this dock should work I would just double check with Gordon.

Thanks Kahun, I will wait to hear from Gordon since it's a pretty big investment I want to be sure....or there is another less expensive hub that will work please feel free to share that info as well, thanks!

Hi Cipher7z, we have tested out the official dock from Samsung before, and it works fine (although only 30fps since it is MHL 1.0). If you want to find a dock for cheaper, there are a few on eBay that should work (in theory) as well (also MHL 1.0 what i can tell from the description): www.ebay.com/itm/OTG-MHL-to-HDMI-Micro-USB-Data-Sync-Charger-Dock-for-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-4-/111468073575However it is a YMMV situation, since we only tested the Samsung dock, as well as the one we designed. If you do get the eBay dock, please report back once you have a chance to test it out to let us know your experience with it.

I'm hoping for the best possible experience.

I guess mostly i'm asking if a MHL 1.0 device is the best product on the market we can purchase today to maximize the best possible performance?

Is the performance better if I use ChromeCast instead?

Generally speaker, hardware docks will always have better performance then Chromecast, due to input latencies, and reduce color profile on wireless displays streaming.

Thanks Gordon, you've been very helpful. I will purchase the one on ebay and report my experience back to you....provide me an email address if you would like me to report back to your personally. Sorry you have not found funding yet, you and your team have come up with an awesome concept hear, I can't wait to try it.

Note 4 (AT&T) with Samsung smart Dock
Display and launch work fine but usb mouse and keyboard do not function. Is this a settings issue or does the phone lack the drivers?

This is strange, if you are using the official Samsung smart dock, the keyboard and mouse should work. At least it works for me using the AT&T version of the Galaxy Noe 4 (Snapdrgon 805). Trying removing and reinserting the USB keyboard and mouse to see if it makes a difference.
